Car Covers
New Vert arrives Monday.. Give me your thoughts on an indoor car cover. Brand? Material? Going to keep it in the garage when not driven.
Thanks |

CONGRATZ AND WELCOME FROM cANADA WHERE YOURE BABY WAS BORN.
As for the car cover, since it's garaged kept you don't really have to bother for rain and humidity protection, just buy one to keep the dust away. Make sure you have one with inside soft liner so not to scratch the paint.

I am wanting one also. Has GM came out with one yet with the shark fin pouch on the trunk instead of on top of the hood?

From what I understand. Car covers are only safe to use when in the garage. If you car is kept outside it is better to forego to cover and leave it exposed. Any type of wind will make the cover rub against you paint at it's contact points and cause scratches.

Check out CoverCraft, they are not cheap but definitely worth it. They have great indoor covers. Junkman I think recommends this brand too. http://www.covercraft.com/indoor_covers.htm

Aside from what has been said here already I'll add one thing thats specific to convertibles - do not get a plush lined one... the fibers drag on the top and you'll be picking lint from the top from here until the end of time.
