Headed off to ADM for repairs. I was conducting a pull on a Dyno while smoothly increasing the throttle a large cloud of smoke came out of the left exhaust at 4800 RPM. The car was shut down and I inspected the oil, spark plugs, and pulled the valve covers to inspect the rockers and springs.

The engine was pulled and Andy confirmed the lifter was bad. All lifters were replaced, engine inspected and was out the same day. I have only see 2 of these and Andy has never seen a bad one.

That's a bummer. Wonder what happened? My Trans Am sounds just like that. I figure it's a lifter. Pulling the head on it after I get the Camaro off the lift. What weight oil are you running?

dude this car is sooo bad ass!! one question.. since the filter is under the trans do you have any problems when driving in the rain or snow without it sucking up some water?
