FYI Early Order Activity, the "Sticker Price" and Price Protection
FYI - When you pick up your Camaro, be advised that if you were one of the Early Order folks, you will see the "latest" prices on the window sticker (also known as the "Monroney sticker") .
My window sticker says "Early Order Activity", and it said on the Invoice "R6P", but the prices shown on it were the "new higher" prices - so the price protection is somewhat of a joke if your order paperwork said "at MSRP". You should've had written on the order the actual prices published at the time that your order was written up. So if your order says you're going to "pay MSRP", then what's on the window sticker is what you'll be expected to be pay unless: 1) you have a specific $ amount written on the order; 2)you can/or want to negotiate/remind/cajole the dealer when you pick it up. I pass this along as an FYI, and its just another very small thing that ruins the experience for the Early Order folks...

Here's one... print off the email/letter in the post and take it to your dealer. Hopefully that will do the trick. Also try calling customer service if they refuse. In many cases the difference is minimal but some of the options (IOM) went up significantly. This email was also sent to customers confirming price protection for preorders. |
