I had all but forgotten about the fuse pull but decided last night to do it. I pulled them out at 7pm and then put them back in this morning at 6AM. I noticed better throttle response and it pulled a little harder than normal the couple of times I got on it today (gotta love merging onto I-70 at 5pm! ). My gas mileage increased by .2mpg on the way to work and then on the way home I reset the calculator and averaged 24.7mpg doing 78mph with the A/C blowing full blast. Then I decided to try out competition mode on the last leg of my drive. I'm happy to report that I chirped in 2nd from a 40mph roll (no clutch, just matting the throttle) and then chirped 2nd, 3rd, and 4th without winding it out all the way or revving between shifts (shifting at 4000rpm). My only performance mod is a CAI inc. cold air induction.
I'd say it works because I've not been able to do that before and my mileage was never this good either. Just my experience. YMMV. -Tim

OK, got a question....I have the Diablo Predator tune on my car (along w/ Borla cat back exhaust and K&N CAI). Would a fuse pull benefit me or does the tune take care of it? I have noticed some of the things you guys are saying is happening w/ y'alls cars is also happening w/ mine. Any info is greatly appreciated.

I wonder if this Fuse Pull issue will encourage aftermarket production of new ECU's. Assuming the ECU can be replaced. But if the Fuse Pull is the fix, I guess there is no reason to replace the whole damn thing...

So what if 93 octane isn't available in my area? 92 should be ok? Is the computer only looking for 90+ octane?

I just pull the fuses every once and a while. You can't hurt anything. Plus, the car is hard to steal with them out.

Does this only work for cars with the auto transmission or will it work on the 6 speed manuals too?
