Not sure about the AFM, but the Corsa sounds very tame...until you get on it at which point all hell breaks loose and that exhaust gets loud as hell. In fact it was so tame driving normally that it scared me when I got on it; I thought had blown off a muffler.

Great exhaust

Yes, you will notice AFM going in and out... almost like you do with the stock exhaust... maybe a slight bit more noticeable, but definitely not a drone type sound.

Just the normal anoying AFM growl...

Exactly, the annoying AFM going in and out is still there. But it's not a drone.

i have ARH LT's and corsa, with my l99.
i tuned out AFM--drove me nuts with that damn helicopter chasing me all the time!
as far as drone, ZERO. with the radio turned off cruising down the highway, you and passenger can talk normally, while barely hearing the car run.

step on it, and omfg...
sounds like wide open headers.
actually, if you look at the corsa muffler, and ive owned 3 different types...
they are a straight pipe thru the muffler with internal cutouts.
the exhaust can pressures up a second after startup and the car gets way quieter with the noise cancelling technology corsa designed. light flow allows the cutout ports to function, but when the flow increases the exhaust is free flowing.
i guess CORSA is like having a WOT actuated mechanical cutout--without the moving parts. the first system i bought 6 years ago for my silverado ss, made me a believer.
i also must say that the fitment of all corsa products is second to none. all factory hanger locations are used and the install is so fast with the torca clamps.

hope this helps your decision.

look up a vintage car sound on You Tube

That popping sound is sick, and I don't mean good....

What were they thinking? I guess they (GM engineers) are too young, to remember what a good exhaust sounded like.....
My 327-350 horse with Flowmaster 40's sounds 1000 no, 10,000 times better... I am keeping my L99 as quiet as possible, to avoid embarrassment of letting friends hear it pop......

The popping is Decel Fuel Cutoff. It's there to help Fuel Economy. When I had my 2003 Cobra this used to drive me nuts. I turned it off with one of our SCT custom tunes, popping goes right away. However, I did notice a decrease in fuel economy. Right around 1 MPG consistently.

No problem at all, glad I could help

I recommend the SCT X3 and getting a custom tune. Your tuner can turn off the AFM, DFC and adjust the decel fuel cutoff for you. We sell them as well as other vendors on the site.
