Stock not Modified Brings Highest Values at Auctions

We all have watched the auto auctions on TV. The 40 year old cars that bring the most cash are the ones that look like they just rolled off the production line without any mods. The message is that when we give these heirlooms to the next generation the more stock they are the more they are worth. Having a rare color or set of options is what brings the high dollars not that set of 24" wheels or wild sound system.

So enjoy all those wild mods, but make sure you can remove them and get it back to stock when it comes time to sell it in 40 years. Your kids will thank you for it! Maybe!

so don't mod or drive your car for the next 40 years!

I didn't buy this car for an investment, I bought it to have a blast. So far so good! The modding began the day I got it and there's no stopping now.

Mod the crap out of this car, drive it and enjoy it. Theres no such thing as a rare combo of options, and rare doesn't equal valuable. Its not gonna be worth anything near the time and enjoyment wasted by parking it in the garage and not having fun with it in 40 years.

If you keep a car for 40 year why the hell would you want to sell it? My future kids can F themselves. I'm getting buried in this thing!

Not planning on selling. The kids can have it in the will, if they plan on enjoying it. Selling is not on the bill.

Grandkid can drive me to the nursing home in mine if he stays out of trouble, I'll hand over the keys. If he wants to mod it then, he can, well unless I trade up to one of them fancy futuristic floaters I saw in a post previous...
