Palm Beach International Raceway - Test n Tune
Anyone else heading out there tonight to take advantage of this great weather we're having? I look forward to seeing some Camaro5 members out there!
Look for the guy that makes you go "there's no way he fits in a Camaro" |

I haven't been to the track in a couple of years, last time it was still Moroso. Kids took up all of my time but I'm looking forward to an adult evening with my brother and shootin the breeze with whomever feels so inclined. Results will be posted, as well as videos - provided they turn out well.

I'm disappointed, thought I'd run better - the car feels strong, but even with the cool weather with me I couldn't put up the numbers.
Still learning the best launch, how much to load up. My lightning's did NOT like to be loaded up. I had zero traction problems (probably because I'm not making much power), but we had a great night. My old man was able to come out and beat us both - probably one of the last times he'll be able to take anything down the track :( Me = left lane, my brother = right lane. Best run of the night for both of us...I was trying to cut some close reactions - looks like I jumped the gun by a hair :-\ |

I see. Well with improvements in traction and 60', I wouldn't doubt you'd be in the upper 12s at a minimum. At least you're not ending up with mid-high 13s. If anything, your bro with the Stang should be at least in the high 12s but it just shows the traction issue was one of the key handicap since his 60' was worst than yours. At least you had a good time... hope it'll get better next time around!

@RedDragonSS, bolt-on L99. Airaid Cold Air, Magnaflow comp series axle back, and a hypertech maxenergy (for now) - I expected low 13's stock, but breaking into high 12's with the intake and mild tune. Had no traction problems at all, just wasn't making the power.
Believe me, I've been ghosting these forums for a couple months and the wish list is about a 1/4 mile long. @thebeast916, I'll be heading back to the track soon, maybe next Wednesday (although my 5 yr old daughter gave me a ration of $hit for not being home that evening, haha) |
