Can I ask why ramps would be the choice over a floor jack?

because it's very difficult to get a floor jack to a good point to lift the vehicle, especially if it's lowered, but it's even an issue on a regular SS unless you have a very good low profile jack. I used to drive onto small concrete "plates" I had to give the front of the car just that little bit more height so I could get my jack where it needed to go. I'm definitely getting good ramps when I can.

Sweet! I bought some ramps at Auto zone a while back and they work fine except that my SS has the ground effects and I have to drive on to 2 x 6 to get the front spoiler to clear the front of the ramp.

Gotta love the people that feel the need to showoff. The OP asked about ramps, so the pictures of your lifts aren't needed.

Raceramps are a great product! I have a set of their "flat stoppers" to park my car on in the garrage. Their ramps for loading trailers are also handy. I would love a set of the full on service/maintenance/track ramps.

They are pricey, but you get what you pay for. I'd trust the Race Ramps over the cheap-o Rhinos. Mine are great, and I've used them on many occasions. Even used them when installing my headers. Here's a few pics...

Because you never work under a car that's only held up by a jack.

I have a set of Discount Ramps Aluminum two piece car ramps. The best part is it has a 6" removable ramp so you can really get under the car. It has also has a low approach angle, which is perfect for the Camaro.
