Is not the goal as easy as installing the Airaid, All which I Had installed on my SS.
Impossible to remove the filter.
The filter rubs against the windshield washer tank.
I'm disappointed for it!

Two suggestions...relocate the washer tank...and relocate the ground stud. You can easily change the filter after that.

Be VERY carefull relocating the ground stud if you do.
Bw darn sure it attaches cleanly and properly to ensure a perfect ground.

IIRC some of the problems people had with their PS failing were traced to a poor ground connection after the ground was moved.

Hey guys, don't forget! Roto-Fab does the ZL1 engine cover in carbon fiber finish with a variety of different color options for the letters. We also have a new windshield washer kit (w/w B) for those of you that have our supercharged tank and would still like to relocate your w/w res, or for those of you who would just like a more discrete mounting location. As with all of our products, the w/w B relocation kit requires no modifications to your vehicle and is a bolt-on, easy to install product.

We also carry a variety of different colors for the air box, hoses, strut tower brace and much more.

For those that have the RotoFab Installed WITHOUT the big gulp, how hard is it to take the air filter off without relocating the ground stud?

I am a spas mechanically and don't want to screw up installation so that I can't get the air filter off quickly and easily.

Hi guys!

What tools exactly are needed to do this job? Anyone can put together a list of all necessary tools?

Just order myself a kit and can't wait to put it on! I hope I'll hear the supercharger better after it is installed too ;D

Keep in mind on the dyno it is very difficult to simulate the air flow. Therefore, some of the additional gains seen with the hood open on the dyno may be realized with the hood closed under actual driving conditions.

I do not like the CAI brand cold air intake at all. It looks cheap. If I purchase this Roto-Fab for my 2014 Camaro SS LS3, will I also gain over 20+ hp even though my SS is completely stock?

I'm pretty sure those numbers are only on the ZL1 model, not the SS.

Here's a video that should help you out quite a bit; tools needed are at 1:32 and nothing out of the ordinary

You'll see about a ~15whp gain on the SS with the Roto-Fab system.

Feel free to call, PM or email me anytime with questions.

Best regards,

I really like my Rotofab stuff. Wish they sold more for me to buy. The fit is awesome and the service is amazing. I get compliments all the time about how nice the engine bay looks. Couldn't be happier!

Installed the Rotofab on my ZL1 the other night. Installation took ~1.5 hours with me being very careful and deliberate. If I had to do it again, probably 30 minutes. I just wanted to comment that the fit, finish and overall quality is superb, just as it was on my 2011 SS.

As far as results - seat of the pants doesn't feel a ton different, although I haven't had much time to really test it out. But the biggest change is the sounds - OMG, does this thing make the blower sing!

The only question or concern I have is the proximity of the cone to the washer fluid fill neck... the filter touches it, not hard, but is on it and I'm concerned that in time it will eventually make impressions on the filter. I'm not inclined to move my washer fluid reservoir, but am wondering if maybe I just need to tweak the fitment of the cone on the rest of the intake or what others are experiencing?
