Center Console cupholder plate

Curious if anyone has a better replacement than what I have at the moment? Mine causes severe sunglare and can be very hot to touch at times especially here in Florida. I thought of painting over the Chrome plating but do not think that will go well. Any input?

Is it metal or plastic? If metallic, you could have it powder-coated or Cerakote (R). Either of those would hold up really well. Additionally, I have had really good success with engine paint for metal and plastic parts, but surface prep is key to a lasting finish that also looks good.

It’s metal. I’ll look into that. Thanks.

I also had the mirrored stainless one, tossed it and got a custom carbon one. It's a real carbon gel overlay from carbonaddons.com.

You could wrap it with whatever color/pattern you like.

Does anyone use it as a cup holder as well?
Me at most when I'm standing still.
When I'm driving and shifting gears, the drink in cup holder gets in the way.

So I went with one of these from EmblemPros:

In no way do I blame you for the automatic transmission!
The main thing is that it's fun!
Especially now that I'm pretending to be Grumpy Jenkins

I tried the drink holder from the Corvette. But it's slanted.
You can only put a closed bottle in there.
