I have the splash guards on my 2010 and in 17K miles they have done a gr8 job of protecting the paint. And I live down 2 miles of gravel road. I also disagree that they look bad.

Thanks for all of the opinions. I have decided to buy a Jeep Wrangler I had been eyeing and will keep my 2010 SS along with it.

I have a 2011 RS with splash guards and still get paint chips. GM told me today that I have to deal with it and there was nothing they could do to it. Because of the way the car flares out we have to deal with our 30K cars looking like crap.

Early 2011 6/12/2010. 10950 miles. Noticeable paint chips on the cyber gray front facia and some on the gills area (I did add chrome gill inserts which hides thema bit). Too late for clear bra. Anybody have ther front bumper reprinted? Would you please share what you paid? I am contemplating having it done.

On my second 2012, and yes the paint still sucks. 2000 miles and chips already, only been on the highway once.

ive had no chipping on my 2012. I will however say that the clear coat seems soft. It gets light scratches very easily, and insects seem to permanently mar the clear if left on for longer than a week

My 2011 RJT has 16k miles and my paint seems no better or worse than any of the other 8 GM vehicles I've had over the years. I don't drive on gravel roads. Maybe those with issues do.
