FINALLY! Dyno day is set!

Finally! A dyno day is set, for August 1st at Modified by KC (Dynojet dyno)! Many have you have been wondering when I would get a day setup to test all of the Overkill stuff, against stock, and other bolt ons. Many of you also know that I was able to put down a 316rwhp/247tq (gross) on E85, on a mobile dyno at Street Car Takeover in Kansas City, MO on APril 16th.

My car has the following:
Overkill 80mm TB
Overkill E85 Kit (will not be tested this go round)
Overkill Tune (tuned on 91, and E85)
Overkill custom intake (with CAI box)
Jacfab Ported Intake Manifold (to Vmax specs)
Jacfab Intake Spacer
Custom catless downpipes (Thanks DGM!)
RPM Stage 2 Diff (3.91 gearing)
Magnaflow Res X pipe, straight pipe
Elite Catch Can and Clean Side

Lots of other stuff....

Some of the things that I will be doing in my 2 hour dyno session, along with the help of a few other members
Stock tune vs Overkill tune (with all bolt ons)
VMAX TB vs Overkill TB
Cold Air Inductions Intake vs Overkill custom intake (With both TB's)
Jacfab ported intake vs stock intake
Spacer vs no spacer

I would love to also do an E85 vs gas, but it takes 2-3 tanks of E85 to level out and have a consistent 70-80% Ethanol content level. And there is really no way to achieve that without completely draining the tank.

I will have a spread sheet showing each run, as well as graphs for each run, so we can get some good solid numbers and see what really helps out the most!

Is there anything else anyone would like me to dyno/test? I will have it for 2 hours.

My goal is NOT to beat my last dyno run, as i just dont see that happening on gas. My goal is to provide information for everyone here to see what truly helps the most, and do some back and forth comparison of products over stock.

Thanks

Do you feel like 10 runs in 2 hours will give accurate results? Do you have cool down options in place? I can only imagine how hot it will be. Perhaps doing all test with E85 may help a bit. At any rate, good luck. I love a good comparison test.

I think it will be fine, yes. Although not a perfect world, how often is it a perfect world when doing these kinds of things? People want real world numbers. Not the inflated numbers manufacturers come up with in "Best case scenario" and never tell you that it was a 1 time fluke.

E85 is not going to happen this go around, as the majority of users are going to be on gas. I am trying to cater to the masses first, and then the specialty guys. I will do E85 when i can though.

That's awesome Derek! You are definitely blazing an uncharted trail for us N/A guys. I'm glad you're not running E-85 this time. Not every station has E-85 and the MPG takes a hit as well.

For the guys who like running E-85, I'm wondering if you could put a small tank of E-85 in the car like guys running meth? That way, if you need the extra power that E-85 provides, then switch over the fuel source and pow you have it. Sort of like a nitrous shot, but way cheaper. Anyway, it's just a theory.

I'm really hoping you get close to 390-400 hp at the crank.

Wow Derek, sounds like your gonna cover all the bases. I didn't know Overkill had a custom cold air intake. When did that come available?

Yup! I get an oil change once a month, and check my fluids just as often, if not more, so i should be all set.
