glad I got the OZ Ultraleggera wheels. I shaved a few lbs per corner. 6.9 LBs per rear wheel to be exact and6.3 lbs per front rim. Now how about an aluminum 1 piece driveshaft.....it's rotational mass! Most people don't think of light weight rims and 1 piece driveshafts as HP mods.....but they are showing better gains than some cold air kits I've seen!

Your next tires, you should concider some lighter ones.

The performance gain from tires is twice what you get from lighter wheels. With those OZ Ultraleggera you've gained 7hp , an additional 15 hp if you go with lighter tires.

You're right, anything that spins has a big effect on performance
OEM DRIVESHAFT – 6 SPEED MANUAL weight 24 lbs
Carbon Fiber Drive Shaft is only 15.5 lbs , more details here: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=126943

OP, please answer these questions to veify the validity of your test. Thank you.

Nice little test if you want new wheels although very subjective. If you were wanting RWHP to say run the 1/4. Weight alone would not be the deciding factor. Grip will have a much bigger effect. Not surprised though. However the bang for RWHP buck is quite horrible if power is what you are after. It's FREE to pull out the back seat.
