Question How to wire up footwell Leds lights in a 4th gen

I'm pretty New to this body still but not to Camaro's . I've done Sooo Many Mod's to my 5th gen but I'm lost when it comes to this one ..

So can anyone help me or direct me to a Good link on How to install footwell Leds in this 1997 Camaro ?
I thought I'd pig tail off the door switch but after pulling the panel I still can't get to the wires ...

have heard some splicing off the Map lights but that is a Long way to go to get power I would think .. Also heard something thing about wires off the BCM ??

So as you can see Any input would help me a lot !!

Over the last year or so this section has been dying. There's a few of us left here but we're not active all the time. I'd go to a more active F-body forum to find what you're looking for such as LS1Tech.

Good luck with your search though!

To make it seem natural, what you are looking for is a 12v+ source of electricity that is active when the DOME light is active.

Now, more than likely this can be found in the drivers side A-Pillar, or passengers side A-Pillar for you to tap into. (I don't know where it would be off hand.

If I were doing it I'd follow that wire under the dash. (More than likely it's a pair or bundle of wires going to the dome light. Use a multimeter to determine which is the delayed 12v+ lead.)

I'd recommend a sort of "strip" LED light(s) that uses double stick tape to stay put.

This would be a pretty easy thing to figure out.

Yea I've installed plenty of footwells before but not on a 4th Gen .. I know the map lights as well as the door lights are what I want to tap into but don't know what wires to look for . I just figured Someone on here had did this and would save me a whole bunch on time and headaches.
