When I've bought my last few new cars, I always tell them I'm not leaving the lot with their badge on my car, and the dealers generally don't have a problem with that.

Holes

Last car was Z28 with two holes driven into the rear of the car and a metal dealer emblem was attached. Partially obscured the z28 emblem on the rear of the vehicle. Took delivery at night in a rain storm in December and didn't notice the badge. Fast froward a couple of years, the emblem rusted badly and came off leaving me with two hole I had to patch. WTF.

happens either way, some dealers will put them on after you purchase during the Detailing phase before giving it to you. Others will have them on the cars sitting in the lots.

First off I am not trying to start a war here, but some dealers get there cars from holding lots where the badging or stickers or decals and license frames get put on ahead of time. Are you all seriously saying that if it is on the car then you wont purchase it after all this wait or would you just simply remove it. Sometimes people dont make a hole lot of sense and spend so much time complaining that in the same amount of time it took to post their complaint, they probably could have removed the decal or dealer ID quicker than their posting.

The dealer i bought mine from had an ugly but easy emblem to take off(done it before). So i dont care either way. I told them to leave it off but the only way to know for sure is look when it shows up.

I do not want anything on my car as well, and I have told the general manager and sales manager on several occasions. Plain and simple if they put it on anyways then I will simply remove it and then go on with my day. I am not defending any dealer in any way. Just sick of seeing everybody post negativity when in fact people should wait and see their car in person and not someones elses or even pics. I saw my first IBM 3 days ago and it was the first new camaro I have seen in person and it is a million times better in person then in pictures which just dont do the car enough justice. I ordered a 2SS IOM w/RS and black rallies and I am so ready to have it.

Personally yes I would. If a dealer won't work with you or do something as simple as not putting on/removing the badge do you think they will work with you and do as you ask on more serious matters? Most likely not. Matters as small as dealer badging isn't really about that specific matter but serve as small quizzes in which their answers and actions tell you about their professionalism, how they will conduct business with you after you drive away with the car and whether or not you should be doing business with them at all.

on the stickers and front plate holder. I prefer it's not on there at all. I was required to order the front plate holder since it's state law but hopefully they won't have to drill it on. I'm hoping they can just put it in the trunk. After all it's me that will be paying the ticket. If it's a snap on that will be my first order of business when I get home!

This is my theory. If they put that on my car, they need to pay me for advertising. My rate is VERY expensive.
