2010 Camaro Feild Trip to MRP
I know it's a bit early to be thinking about it but................ Any of you BC Dudes want to plan a meet for a Friday Night trip to Mission Raceway Park for Street Legals in the spring. There is always a bunch of Stangs and the odd Chally there. We could show up on mass and put on a show. Rules are pretty simple. just need a helmet if you want to go 13.99 or quicker. Cost is $30 car and driver and $5 for a spectator. It would be a hoot!

I'm In as a spectator, still have that pesky N so I cant hit the track. Besides changing the fluids would be a pain!

K. It's a ways off June to August are the best months to go. Soon as MRP post the 2010 schedule we can pick a date. Not sure how fast the V6 Maro goes, but 13.99 or slower no need for a helmet. It's a hoot no radar traps there.

I was told at Mission you have to change fluids to different ones for safety reasons. I could have been given wrong information though. I'll still head down there to show support and hang out with fellow Members. Pick a day and I'll book it off.

Full fledged race cars have to run straight water no antifreeze. You just need a snell 2005 helmet if you run quicker then 13.99. That's it! It's really simple.

Sure! Big Pumpkin won't be able to play though, it will be far from stock by then. Just waiting for axel back from Corsa to fit my ARH system. Not sure how fast the V6's are, but if they don't break innto the 13's you don't require a helmet. They V8 Dudes will need one. Check NHRA.com for helmet requirements. I bought one last year, it was around $150. Gates open at 4pm races start 5pm they cut it off at 250 cars and they do sell out some times. Runs till 11pm or to when the dew point gets to a certian value, which ever comes first. Usally 4 or 5 runs a night. Big Pumpkin was the 1st ever 2010 Maro to go down the the track and there was another there one night. (not a Camaro5 member)

I'll check the rules. Should not matter, don't think your covered by ICBC if you bounce it off the wall anyways. Should not be a big deal the track is 60' wide smooth and straight. If you think your in trouble just lift. One thing that is important though use your brakes to slow down, don't gear down heavy to slow down. You could loop it it. The shut down is over a 1/4 mile, so you have lots of room to slow down.
