Bowtie Colors and Inserts

So my Black 2SS/RS is being built on 8/16 and I'm starting to get things together for her...along with ideas. I think I'm going to black out the Bowtie. I even saw 1 that was CF and was kind of cool. Are they vinyl? Are they actual inserts? Does anyone have suggestions for the black with chrome wheels, as far as what color/look I should do? Pictures and ideas are welcome! Thanks team!

mine are white and they're vinyl.

are you gonna do any stripes on your car? or just keep it black? carbon fiber would look cool, or just plain black. if you're gonna do stripes, i'd do the same color as the stripes to tie them in.

here are mine:

I'm not sure yet if I want to go Vinyl or the Billet Bowties. I'm looking at silver as my bowtie color, and I want something that'll last for a bit and not be a big pain in the A to put on.

I don't plan on going with stripes. I think I'd like the billet ones better too. CF, Black, Silver look awesome. DO they have just a chrome one anywhere? I saw a Blue one and it looked kind of cool too! Thanks again guys!!!

I say go vinyl because if you dont like it you can always just peel the vinyl off, and its a lot cheaper than getting the actual bowtie. I have vinyl on my black LS.

I thought about that too. They're $25 for the set vs $130. One of the sponsors here has a bunch of different ones and I could always get a replacement if something happened. I just don't know how the silver color and chrome edging will look. Silver is what I want my bowtie to be.

Silver/chrome contrast might be a kind of nice touch. What about CF? I'd probably wanna CF the inserts that are red on the "SS" badges too then.

Here's silver with chrome. The car is IBM but dark enough to get the idea!

Can you do up a closer shot of that? I wanted to see how it blends. Thanks!

Hope this works for ya! If you notice a difference, its because I just put the heritage grille on last night.

I love that grille. Yeah that doesn't look too bad. From further away it almost looked white. Does it match the silver of your stripes? Whereabouts did you pick the vinyl up from?

Got the vinyl from Big Worm Graphics. Its close enough to a match with the stripes that you would have to be inspecting thoroughly to notice. The stripes are aftermarket in "pewter" which is slightly darker than silver, and I went with these because they are supposed to last longer than the silver from this company (fading I guess ).

EDIT: I didn't get the stripes from Big Worm if I didn't make that clear enough.
