2011 Camaro -- what do you want in it?
MINOR TWEAKS
Upgrade interior: - little touches like fixing the blank plastic dash in front of passenger seat...add an emblem or engraved lettering in quality material for interest & pizazz - silver/gray trim around guages/vents to exactly match gray or tan interior color options Upgrade front grille to metal - could be same pattern (which is pretty good) but in maybe a midnight silver that matches the RS wheels. Point is to show quality vs. apparent black plastic Green--but I like dark so maybe two shades (bright/dark) like the blue options I'm dying to get rid of my truck and get my Camaro...but finances dictate a year from now...so maybe I'll be lucky enough that some of these things will be available and any first year bugs will be fixed... Slightly more aggressive spoiler for RS package--but only slightly--just enought to be distinctively different, not "boy racer" Make grille slot on SS real, or delete. Track package option (GM, you've got to beat the Mustang in handling as well as acceleration) Maybe a T-top option? MAJOR CHANGES Z28 Convertible Z28 Convertible I have to disagree with making this a 2 seater... That's why they have the Corvette. Lastly, off topic: It will be an absolute crime if the G8 is not saved as a Chevy or Buick! I want a coupe (Camaro) but if I still had a larger family that would be my pick. Awesome car (esp. GXP--can you say bang for the buck!!!) in need only of a slightly better interior! |

1. A performance oriented package with better handling, firmer suspension, etc. Something akin to the Z51 package on the Corvette.
2. Different styles of deck lid spoilers as options. 3. A ground fx package that's not so squarish at the rear end. 4. More wheel and tire choices that enhance the look and performance of all models. 5. Also, I'll jump on the bandwagon and say an LS7 option. Maybe you could contact Dana Technologies and work out an order only package that is performance oriented and lighter with an LS7 and you could call it the Dana 427...LOL. I'm actually waiting on the 2011 production so I can buy my 3rd Camaro.... hopefully a Z/28 |

OOPS...and...
Sorry I stuck my comment in the middle of my categories... Should have checked before I hit send.
Also...more wheel options with more spokes, for a lighter, more "sports car" look. |

My only request:
This should be on the steering wheel hub and the front grille instead of the gold bowtie. |

Oh yeah, just a few other things. I agree a DI 6.2 would be great. If you just do a ratio of displacement to hp the V8 DI would have about 500 HP naturally aspirated with a mild tune. Another thing that I think would be cool would to do a special paint with having the guy from overhaulin' do realistic flames direct from the factory that way. Just a question. Does anybody know if a dealer orders a certain number of vehicles with a special Color they can get the color even though it is not a standard paint color? It seems like it used to be a dealer could order 10 of a special order color to do this.

The Z-28 and the convertible go without saying. I'll keep my 2010 regardless, but it will be nice to see Chevy add those two to compete with Ford's offerings.
Nav, HUD and hopefully they'll have the ABL across teh dash fixed by then (and in aftermarket parts). Yeah, it is not a huge thing, but it will complete the dashin my mind. Other than that, I don't think GM will need that much of a refresh the first year. |

1) Upgraded interior quality - similar to what they did with the '08 Corvettes.
2) USB standard on all trims. My phone has a USB port, it can't be that expensive to add. 3) "Smart" Key. The kind that recognizes the vehicle so you never even have to take it out of your pocket. My friend's $14k Nissan Sentra has this feature and it's super convenient. 4) Different guages. I like the retro look, just don't like the guages. 5) Built-in navigation. I know a lot of people don't care for it, but it should at least be an option. 6) Z-28 package. 1" lower ride height, Bilstein shocks, 20% stiffer springs, bigger sway bars, 3.90 gears, GMPP exhaust, dovetail spoiler. 7) ZL1 package - LSA engine, keep the front Brembos but use the V-6 rear brakes so we can fit some 16" wheels and 29" slicks, shorty headers and GMPP exhaust. 8) RS package should include aluminum pedals, similar to what comes on the G8 GXP. 9) Make Ambient Lighting an option. Not everyone likes it. 10) Now that I think about it, GMPP exhaust should be standard. Track version optional. 11) Direct Injected 6.2L V-8 |
