Removing stock racing stripes?

Hey Guys, i really wana remove my red stock decal racing stripes to get the fresh clean look. should i let a shop do this or is there an easy way to remove them? has anyone else tried this feat? My body color is white so im not sure if there will be any color fading around the stripes. Help me out

How new is the car? Do you take care of the paint? It's easy to remove them. just heat up an edge a bit and use an Xacto to lift up on the edge carefully, then peel them back. I did this with mine when I had to get a new set put on.

I pulled mine off easily! On the edges there might be some residue but some goo gone will get that off

How bad was the fading? Mine's kept out in the driveway, had the stripes on since owned, and also a 2011. Been thinking about taking them off but afraid of the fade.

There was no fading at all. The paint color of my Car is white so its more forgiven but they were really easy to remove with a cheap heat gun.

I have a SW, too. But I noticed how the white seems to fade differently. When I first got my car it was all one shade, I compared it with another SW Camaro on the lot which had noticeable fading. Mine is like that now but mine also has been through a lot of crap and kept outdoors 100%.
