:( I'm sorry PQ. I just can't understand how Savini is still in business when these are the kinds of wheels they put out.

Like I told John, I believe that these "internet specials" were sort of an outlet store. The actual storefronts that stock these wheels could no-way-in-hell stay open for business selling crap like this. However, with the faceless internet, I could sell you a polished turd and just never reply to an email or private message.
Mailing wheels back and forth, paint peeling, vibrating, leaking air (WTF??), etc etc and STILL not right is all bullshit. I hope this thread never dies. Side note: You don't have your GM 21s any more?

Ughhhhh... that's got to be getting old... sounds like a new bead of RTV on the inside where the wheel bolts together is needed... or is it just leaking from the bead like before...

Still from the beads. They can't get it to seal. Said I need to take them to have the lips reground and refinished.

I am so glad I found this thread while doing research on a set of wheels for my car.
Some of you are very forgiving/nuetral with your post. Maybe so to keep the thread open. I feel your pain and thanks for sharing. I think I will be staying away from Savini - as I want to drive my car and not trailer it when I start to make more shows. Now that I have seen the bad - I need to look for the good experiences with a wheel. |

As you're shopping, just remember, if you order on-line you have little way to be protected. It's a gamble. |
