Do I reuse any part of the old bushings? Like the metal cap the original bolt was threaded through?

With poly you reuse it, with aluminum you don't.

For anyone else having issues easiest way I found after trying for over an hour. Was put it in a vice, heat the hat while putting a socket extension inside the original bushing on the edge of the hat and rubber malleting it

Yes, you need to re-use the metal retainer plates with the poly bushings.

Wish I had that sooner. My bmr instructions failed to mention using the retainers.

There were also instructions that said.to reference pictures that werent there. I already tossed em all in trash cause I finished earlier or ide reference which ones. Took me two pretty fully days but got trailing arms, toe rods, end links, sway bars, springs, full bushings except diff, and new shortened lca in the rear
