1968 Z/28 is finally alive

You guys might get a kick out of this.
This is my first video, but give me some feedback....Like should I get lower in the back for better acoustics?

Anyway.....
1968 Z/28 302 Engine run
All stock, all forged, high compression 11:1
Holley 780 carb
The exhaust is the stock manifolds through dual pipes into a single transversly mounted muffler, then twin pipes out the back.

Sounds pretty mean though, huh?

Not done yet, that's why its not striped.

Looks great! I love 68's, get those stripes on and paint the gas cap body color and you will be in business. I love the stock factory parts under the hood.

Love the sound and GREAT car!

I actually was up close to the one-off 1968 Z28 Camaro convertible that was made. Up in the Detroit area about 7 years ago.

I have the article from the Ft Wayne Gazette about the 1968 Z28 that went thru the auction. It did not sell..as a matter of fact, all the original documentation was stolen at the site. Nice color photo and quite the write-up.
This is the one and only made 1968 Camaro Z28 convertible....

that red looks good. Heck, I'd black out the rear panel and leave the stripes off.

Car was amazing. Owner at the time took me, my dad and my brother through his collection. Just us. We touched it, drooled on it, etc.!!! I actually bought the Muncie 4-speed that's in my '68 from the guy.

I took pics at the time but haven't been able to find the &#%** sim card....

Very nice. I had a white '68 Z

Gotta have rear bumper guards

and don't paint the stripes on the end of the deck lid...they have to stop under the spoiler

That would look totally out of place on a Z-28. That is done to designate big block cars on certain models

nothing like seeing that as you're walking up to a car and expecting to see a nice 396 under the hood, only to walk away disappointed after seeing a small block between the fenders. That could ruin the whole impression of an otherwise beautiful car

The plan is .....
to finish off minor paintwork....
then stripe....
Sorry no black rear panel...but I think that looks cool too.

I don't know if I'm going to have the stripes painted or use vinyl (blasphemy...right?)

Painted stripes always bleed under the the masking tape....and with vinyl I could change the color from white to black...

Should be done in a few weeks....I'll post the finished product.
