So what would happen....
I'm not super familiar with suspension physics...
Factory Spring rates are around 210 FR / 400 Rear... So what would happen if I put on 1.25 drop all around with 280 FR/ 230 Rear. The rear is showing a significantly lower rate. What would the effects be? Bouncing in the rear like an old Cadillac? |

Trust me I'm a Scientist.

It would actually be firmer when you use drop springs.

Firmer with half the spring rate?

I don't think you read it all lol... I know it'll be mushy... Just wasn't sure if the car would bounce extremely bad, wheel hop, sag when trunk is stuffed, have poor turn performance, or blow out shocks...
I ordered BMR 1" all over. I was only wondering about the other info because I have a set of Tuning Pro springs I got free- was going to use them but not worth it. |

I would assume it would bounce around like crazy, unless the dampeners can keep it from doing that... not too sure. I have a similar question about spring rates... stock vs lowering springs vs coilovers?
Stock: 165 lbs/in front 370 lbs/in rear 45% front to rear ratio Pfadt: 210 lbs/in front 395 lbs/in rear 53% F/R ratio BC coilovers: 448 lbs/in (8kg/mm) 560 lbs/in (10kg/mm) 80% F/R ratio Is there any reason that the F/R ratio changes so much when moving to coilovers? ~50% to 80%?! |
