Diagram above is great for explaining.

first the tee is used to combine the green hose and the blue one from the valley pan. The blue hose on the manifold its self is blocked off with the cap. So now the green hose and blue hose go to one side of the catch can. The other side of the can has a short hose and filter on the end. This is used for allowing the system to breath. Could be hooked back into the intake manifold or intake piping if wanted too. No harm if done that way.

Most of those are just empty cans with 2 fittings in them....no way to trap the majority of the oil. They are basically overflow catch cans such as we would use for a coolant, or tranny vent (per NHRA & IHRA rules). To be effective a true oil seperating can has to have a series of baffles or the vapors just go in the inlet, and right out the outlet a few inches away.

Cool

What about this, or is this the same. Almost all cars/trucks.
Pvc valve runs to the air intake just in front of the throttle body.
What if you place the catch can in line between the pvc valve and the air in take? is'nt this doing the same?
