I would say performance first.............. if this car had already been on the market for a few years and you know if there are any kinks that take a while to find, but since this is just the first year its out, go with looks and wait a bit until we know if there are gonna be any problems, its not like this car is lacking in the power department lol

Do you want it LOOK fast or BE fast?
No doubt about it, Performance first. Noone likes to get smoked by someone who looks stock. |

homely tramp? That's a double negative. I think you got your analogy mixed up. Perhaps you can explain how a "homely tramp" equates to "performance"? And that goes for all those who replied with "" - I guess you understand something that I don't.

Get the CAI and skip the tune. No need to throw away a perfectly good warranty for a simple $300 tune. Sorry, but in my opinion, that's crazy. People buy aftermarket warranties for thousands of dollars...and one $300 tune will void that warranty in a heartbeat.
Most people will know what I'd recommend CAI wise. But, it's not out yet. ...soon, but not yet. You won't need to get a tune with the Vararam, but you can. ...for an extra 8tq/hp or so. IMO, that isn't worth the $300 when you will already be getting well over that with the unit alone. Someone mentioned getting the preorder list back open to get the $390 introductory price. If that happens, you need to get in on that and hold off for the CAI. Then, you could do the CAI AND wheels. Skip the tune, keep your warranty, AND have piece of mind! See....now THAT is a winner in my book. |

Uh...... how do you figure you'll get better gas mileage? What kind of tune are you talking about?

he was inconsistent. The second part of his analogy the "knock out nun" implies something that looks good but doesn't go - in other words, analogous to the stock car with aesthetic enhancements. To mix that with a "homely tramp" is inconsistent. He should have said something like "homely stripper" to be a consistent analogy.
If you want to say something clever, you actually have to do it right. Reminds me of Biff from Back to the Future: "why don't you make like a tree and get out of here!". A note from your friendly analogy policeman.

I wouldn't void a powertrain warranty for 24 HP.
As mentioned, wait for the GMPP parts and protect the warranty. Plus you will know those parts have met all GM requirements and will last. Better gas mileage
