$20 is pretty standard for any of the shows there or at IMS (good guys, mopar, chevy shows, etc). Plus the $20 was good for 2 days so that is $10 a day if you really want to break it down. Spent 12-14 hours total over the 2 days. Had a great time.

I'm just saying I expected more. At 20 dollars a person I just think it would've been more put together and I honestly expected a lot more people. I only drove 2 hours but there where people there from New Mexico, South Dakota, Maryland . . And with gas near 4.00 I would've been upset if I were them. There shoudlve been sections for certain years, models, colors ect., the deals are the same you can get from the vendors through this site . . It just seemed unorganized and thrown together. I had a good time with the fam and got to see some awesome camaros but I have been to far better events for less money. If I had lower expectations I'm sure it would've been fine, but mine were pretty high heading down there. I'm sure the nightlife and hotel would be a blast but. It for grandpa and 15 yr old cousin . .

Ok you spend how much on your car, and any mods. and then you drive how far unless it was in your backyard and your complaining about 20 bucks???? There are guys and gals who spend hundreds in gas, hotel, food just to get there not including anything else they spend money on while they are there. 20 bucks is nothing compared to the whole scheme of the Camarofest.

Everything cost money nowdays:

NASCAR race: $95 (cheap seats) (including pit pass)

NHRA drag event: $25

MLB game: $76 (behind home plate)

NFL game: $275 (end zone)

Add in $10 beer and $7 hotdogs.

If you plan on taking the whole family your last name better be Rockefeller. Why spend all that money when you can sit at home and watch it on TV with "instant replay" and not worry about some drunk in the upper deck spilling his beer on you.

Other than not being televised, Camaro fest is the same. You wanna play ..... you gotta pay.

You have to realize, it's not cheap putting on these events. There's all kinds of costs involved, your addmission price is not PROFIT.

I didn't make the trip, but $20? Come on. You'd spend that on a warm beer and dried out hotdog at a ball game AFTER paying $40 to get in.

No, $20 is not too much for admission, imo.

I told my family to not come when i found out it was $20 a person. But i didn't mind paying $40 for me and the g/f. $20-30 per car and driver plus $10 for each additional person would have been nice.

I thought everything was awesome, and $20 for 2 days at Indy is a bargain. Probably not a cheap facility to rent.

Can't wait until next year.

My only comment on possible improvement would be more drag racers. Maybe somehow invite some more exhibition cars, or an all gen Camaro class and invite some older Camaros from other clubs to help fill the down time.

Wow....

First off, some people have no clue what stuff costs. I once looked at renting a local racetrack for a day, and was quoted in the 10s of thousands.. And this was a dragstrip, not an LOR type facility. And only for a day. Now thats not counting insurance for the event, security, escorts for the cruise, goodie bags, and printed material. The stuff adds up. And while people may want to think this is a huge show, 1000 people is not really a lot in the car show scheme of things. That means less people to spread the cost out. We have been to all 3 feats, and this one was the same except for the track was bigger, and spead things out more.

I guess I don't get all the griping...everything was posted before hand. 5 minutes here, you can find the admission price, how many vendors would be there, how many people had signed up to attend, and what events were offered. I don't understand how you could walk away all pouty face over something that was as advertised.

Another thing to think about is that the staff here are all volunteers, and do this for fun. I think anyone here would be absolutely deflated if they worked 6 months to organize such a big event only to have people trash it.

My only feedback is I do think that $100 for drag racing and auto cross is high enough to keep most people on the side lines. I would suggest offering a separate admission for each, or only offer one each day.

Also, Saturday I believe got off to a slow start and had low attendance in the morning because of all the parties at the host hotel the nigh before. Kind of created a mood like they should have been serving Bloody Mary's at the concessions stands. If they are going to party like that, a one day event like the first one in Valdosta may be better.

Lots of people were saying that.

After watching the auto x today I wish I had done that. Looked fun. Maybe next time.
