Camaro Garage Art. A good idea?
I'm trying to get a feel for an idea I have. I'm in the Printing/Advertising field for the last 20 years. It's very slow right now and I'm trying to think outside the box a bit.
A couple of years ago I closed my garage and made it into a game room. I did it with the help of some very large format printing equipment that is meant for billboards like the one's that you see on the side of the major roadways. I was thinking would their be a market for these types of products with car, boat, girl fans or any fans of anything? To have a web site/service that could print from Your Own photos (could even offer pro retouching) to make a high resolution vinyl "billboard" for the sake of a name, that could be mounted to the back of your garage door or smaller ones as wall art, or large wall size ones that could be made into a whole wall art and goes on like wallpaper? The only downside would be the price, it is not a cheap process but if it could be done for $500.00 for a 2 cars garage door size and $150.00 for a smaller size, like the one of the pirate ship below. Would anyone think that they would want one? The vinyl is very heavy duty, with UV protection meant to be outdoors in the sun, rain and cold for years. I would put loops and/or grommets for mounting? The folds will fall away after a while, these picture were not great. They were just put up when I took them.

I think it'd be super cool to have a life-size one of your car in the garage so you can see it even if the car is not there. :p I can't afford anything like that right now, but still think it would be cool. When I moved in my last house that I bought back in 2004, I was going to have one of my friends paint a car mural on one of the walls so it would look like the car was at a drive in burger joint all the time!

I like stuff like that, just not sure about the lifesize .
This is about all the size I need, I'm hoping the artist that did these gets started on the new Camaro's soon. The colors have lots of glare ...much nicer in person |

Gonna say I like it, but not the price.
If I'm gonna do something like this, which is an excellent idea BTW, I'll have my wife take a good picture or two and have her take them to be blown up at the photo studio. Much cheaper I would think.
