New rebuilt TR 6060 on it's way!
Went to the dealer yesterday and gave the service manager a ride. the 1 to 2 grind didn't let me down. 4 out of 4 times from 1 -2. The SM said leave it with me. They are going to "FIX" it. My car has 1680 miles on it.
I just bought IDEALG's master cylinder too. Isn't there a TSB on flywheel bolts as well?

There is a bulletin about possible loose clutch pressure plate bolts according to a source at a Chevy dealer. That might be interesting to check into.

No, I have not installed the MC that i received from IDEALG. I wanted to get my tranny rebuilt/replaced from the dealer first. Which the dealer will be doing next week. When they get done with the tranny i'll baby it home and install my MC.

Yeah, no doubt. I hope they put some good parts in it. I asked the SM and he didn't know if GM has upgraded parts or not. With your MC and the rebuild on the tranny I "should" be good. Fingers crossed.

So, i just got a call from the dealer today, and they called gm before they dove into the tranny. Now they are saying they won't fix the tranny and that "gear clash" is normal at high rpm. WTF? They also told me I would get better 0-60 times shifting at 4800 RPM. haha.

The closest thing that I was able to find was for L99 with A/T. SERVICE UPDATE Bulletin No.: 10432 Subject: 10432 - Service Update for Inventory and Customer Vehicles - Flexplate Bolt Thread Engagement - Expires with Base Warranty Models: 2011 Chevrolet Camaro Equipped with 6.2L V8 SFI Engine (RPO L99) and Automatic Transmission (RPO MYC) This service update includes vehicles in dealer inventory and customer vehicles that return to the dealership for any reason. It will expire at the end of the involved vehicle's New Vehicle Limited Warranty period. Purpose This bulletin provides a service procedure to replace the three torque converter bolts and modify a transmission dust cover on certain 2011 model year Chevrolet Camaro vehicles equipped with 6.2L V8 SFI engine (RPO L99) and automatic transmission (RPO MYC). A small number of these vehicles were produced with torque converter bolts that do not provide adequate thread engagement with the new two piece flywheel. If a bolt loosened, a clanking noise may be noticeable. This service procedure should be completed as soon as possible on involved vehicles currently in dealer inventory and customer vehicles that return to the dealer for any type of service during the New Vehicle Limited Warranty coverage period. Vehicles Involved All involved vehicles are identified by VIN in the Global Warranty Management System - Investigate Vehicle History (GMVIS2) Application. Dealership technicians should always check this site to confirm vehicle involvement prior to beginning any required inspections and/or repairs. It is important to routinely use this tool to verify eligibility because not all similar vehicles may be involved regardless of description or option content. Additionally, a list of involved vehicles currently in dealer inventory is available on the "Service Update Bulletin Information" link under the "Service" tab in GM GlobalConnect (US) or attached to the GlobalConnect message (Canada) used to release this bulletin. Customer vehicles that return for service, for any reason, and are still covered under the vehicle's base warranty should also be checked for vehicle eligibility. Parts Information The bolts that are required to complete this service update are to be obtained from General Motors Customer Care and Aftersales (GMCC&A). Normal orders should be placed on a DRO = Daily Replenishment Order. In an emergency situation, parts should be ordered on a CSO = Customer Special Order. |

Hey thanks alot. I was on the customer service website last night and I will be filling in the info for the complaint today. There are a few people on Camaro5 that have took this issue deep into GM and their tranny's were fixed. Yeah this isn't resolved yet. Real frustrating
