Pacino or De Niro
Good conversation at work tonight on who is the better actor...Al Pacino or Robert De Niro. Most of us called it a draw and prolly split between the rest of the crew. Yeah....we are bored here
What does C5 think?

Very tough call there. I think at the end of the day Pacino movies have been more enjoyable for me. Maybe because Pacino tends to stick with the types of movies I like to watch and De Niro does more variety as far as comedy, action, drama.

If you look at it from acting ability... it is a close one but I think Pacino has done better work and more serious parts.
From a gangster point of view De Niro has done more gang movies with his buddy Joe Pesci. From the Godfather movies Stand point it goes to Pacino he was in all three and was incredible. So to me it's a 2 to 1 victory for Pacino. In reality though I can't imagine a Hollywood without the both of them. |

I'd also say it's a draw. They are both great actors and I really enjoy the movies they do. To choose which one is better at acting would be like asking someone what their favorite Camaro color is.

I like DeNiro... Everything he plays, from gangster to bus driver, to Focker, is always totally natural and believable role for him. Pacino is good too, but seems his roles are usually more similar to each other.

I feel like Pacino has greater range, but then Deniro did some different things earlier in his career perhaps.
I think Godfather II is still Pacino's best. so quiet and still, but amazing
