I need to dig I guess but I swear I had read that Synergy Green Metallic would be available for 2012 but I dont want to start rumors so let me dig.

Now that you mention it, I think I remember reading that somewhere too! Then again I could have dreamed it.

Crystal Red was put on constraint the same day Cyber Gray was for the Corvettes. I think it has the same xirallic component as IBM and CGM. i don't think it's going to be available either.

That sucks. I currently own a CGM and love it. I was planning on getting my ZL1, if the price is right, in CGM. Unless GM pulls a rabbit our of their hat, I may have trouble letting go of my SS and settling for a second choice color on a ZL1. Only 6 colors to choose from? Wow.

I'm not ready to fly off the handle... yet, but IBM was my first choice with CGM my second. I'm very upset if this is true, but I'll wait for further confirmation.

If they don't offer replacement colors I will not be ordering. I've waited long enough and will continue to wait. I'm not compromising with this vehicle.

.

Technically, the color palate includes Carbon Flash Metallic for the 45th anniversary edition Camaros, so one could extrapolate that as at least a possibility for ZL1 as well.

Edit: Would likely be available only with the 45th anniversary package, at additional cost.

If the info in the letter referenced by Dirty D is in fact true, and the above colors are the ONLY regular production shades (not inluding the 45th's Carbon Flash) available for 2012........well, pretty lame in my opinion.

I'm still holding out hope that Carbon Flash will be available on the ZL1 either alone or that it will be possible to get the 45th Anniversary Package on the ZL1

I doubt that 45th Anniversary Package will be available on the ZL1 since the 45th Anniversary Package striping is incompatible with the ZL1's Carbon Fiber hood insert. Also, since Carbon Flash Metallic is listed as only available with the 45th Anniversary Package, I doubt that Chevrolet would make CFM available as a stand alone color on the ZL1.

I love IOM in full sunlight, it's really impressive. I just can't grow to like it in other lighting conditions where it looks like some bad tomato soup color.

...I wouldn't toss the BS flag so quickly. There is soooo much we don't know about the final production car; it's performance specs, options, even color availability. Words to the effect of being "blown away" and getting "ultra grin" have been spoken. Are you saying in any way that color would severely dissapoint or prevent you from purchasing this car? I don't think that's your intent, as anyone worth his salt who is dying to purchase this car wouldn't really give a horses pitute if a certain color is not on the chart. Heck, for all we know there very well may be something up Chevy's sleeve. We will find out soon enough in a couple months at the latest. Heck, back in the day if I found a sweet Camaro Z-28 for sale and I could afford it and it was antique green, that wasn't the deal breaker. It was the car I wanted, I learned to the love color afterward. Colors are just too subjective. Let's celebrate this fine offering and eat our cake and not worry about having it too! Just my simple .02 worth.

I've already been informed by my boss (aka wife) that this will be the last fun car I'm allowed to purchase, so color is a big deal. I'm not going to settle for something that in my eyes, is not perfect. The car is perfect, but I need a color that I love, not one that I settled on because the other ones were discontinued prematurely (cough...ABM) or not available. Bring back ABM, GM. You're running out of colors.

To bad the ZL1 is not sharing the same colors as the
vette's that would be pretty sweet. Can't please
everyone but it would be nice to have 8 to 10 colors
to choose from.
