Gotcha.

I wish there were more people around here, the detailing section is a dying section and when something does come around its a shit show.

I've been busy, between working 50 hours a week and school haven't had much time for much else. Enjoying every bit of it though.

There just really haven't been a lot of new exciting breakthroughs in detailing lately. We're kind of in a lull.

Coatings are commonplace now, no new polishing systems have come out, pretty much everyone is making the same products these days. A lot of parity that we didn't see even a year ago.

Well opti coat 2 is gone... replaced with opti gloss... Sucks for the enthusiasts and small pro retailers.

There are plenty of other equally as good if not better solutions. Kind of what I suspected all along, they wrote checks their ass couldn't cash.

I don't think anything last like the opti coat or is as hard. You're right there are better coatings for slickness and thier dirt releasing properties, ease of use and such. The market seems to all offer products that last between two and three years. With that in mind the opti coat was very cost effective. I guess I will be contacting Cory about cquartz.

Just got done detailing my new bike. Stupid me neglected to take before pictures but the paint was very very dull, and the trim was faded. Nothing polishing and utt+ can't fix!

Yeah, my PC crapped out while polishing my windshield. I may have let the polish get a little too dry. We have a local pc tool repair place. As long as its less than about 40 bucks I'll let them fix it. I figure I will get some 3 inch pads for it. This may let me pick up some speed on the pillars and around mirrors. Right now I just slow way down and make the 5 inch pads work.

Tried out BFWD, I don't think I allowed it to haze enough to bond to the clear... Rained the day after and wasn't too pleased with the beading so I'm going to apply a second coat to see how that goes and allow about 20-30 minutes for hazing, what do you think?
