Lsx intake question

I have a buddy that was given an Lsx intake for his Vette off of another Vette. I'm thinking about trying to buy it for a deal. I was wondering if it would fit on my SS? Any help would be appreciated.

If your going to change the intake then you need to get the LSXR, which is a 102mm intake. The LSX is a 92mm intake and its for the LS1, LS2 and LS6..

No, not any LSXR. It would have to be for the LS3/L99/L76. FAST made the LSXR for the LS1, LS2, LS6, and LS7 as well. The part number for the one that you need is 146102B. If its coming from a LS3 Corvette then yes it will work.

As many a review about FAST not really worth it unless your at the very edge of performance. Money could be better spent on other items, dependent on what upgrades you have already done.

I'll get the specifics from him on what he has and what it came off of. Thanks for the info. As far as being at the edge of performance... I'm stock. But I'm doing everything but cam and headers at once. CAI, throttle body, axle back exhaust and x pipe, under drive pulley, tune, catch can. Figured if that intake would work and I could get it at about half price I may as well do it.

Might lose quite a bit of torque using that intake manifold with the stock cam and no headers.

Also the hp gains that the fast manifold will make will be past 5800rpm (need a cam to spin her high) and take advantage of the Fast

I say get it if it's good deal , but wait to install it tell cam and headers are in your hands

I didn't know that about the torque loss but I was gonna to put it on with cam and headers anyhow. Only reason I'm waiting on those is warranty. When that goes out I'm going the rest of the way. Thanks ya'll ! Yall taught me some new stuff.
