2013 good deal?
After looking in the classifieds here, and my wife saying no way since she wanted the spot in the garage, she said lets go look at new ones. Question is, We found a 2013 CGM 2ss/rs m6 with the npp exhaust, navigation, and a few other small things. No sun roof. Sticker was 40,500, and we got them down to 37500+ttl. The deal killer was they wouldn't give us what we wanted on the trade. What do yall think? My wife said it was still high, I said the price sounded pretty close to what I thought invoice should be.
Next question is, should I- a-go back on Monday, take the lowball trade, and drive her home. b-pass on it, save my pennies, and wait till the supposed z28 comes along. c-keep driving what i got now and drop the whole idea.... |

For which price? 37,500? I haven't seen any in that range, and I have been on a whole lotta dealership websites looking at different ones in the Houston area. Its going to be a daily driver, but might see some track time. If i do take it, Im not about road course racing, just straight line, so im not to worried about the mag suspension.

I got mine for $200 above holdback price. That sounds like a great deal for what you are getting.

good price on the car, but are you willing to take a bath on the trade in? when I picked up my camaro I told them I wanted 14,500 for my trade in which was about 500 over the bb value they came back and gave me 14,000 for it. I for one would tell them to stick it depending if it's more than a few hundred dollars difference.

Story is they/we cant get a blue book value since the trade is a 2013, and black book only goes to 2011 (which I knew all of this beforehand). So they were basing it on what other dealers are selling 13s for. A 2012 blue books for +\-31k and they offered 26.5, then came back with 28.5. I said the least I could do was 32. Now if they could split the difference, and throw in a few things I would really be thinking about it..........

Sell your car via autotrader or other outlets. THEN go shopping. Otherwise you're going to take a bath. But if you decide to go for it, at least wash behind your ears.

I passed on the car, so if anybody thought it was a good deal let me know, and I'll try to pm a link to the car. I figure its no big loss, just gonna keep my eyes open for one at the price I want. I thought having a legit buyer ready to go got salesmen all worked up. Next question is, now that with the calendar flipped to 2013 will the prices go down any, go flat, or start going back to msrp? I usually buy on impulse or need, so i have never watched prices based on the day of the month.

You cannot get a 1le for 37,500. I purchased my wife's 2013 BRM for 37,000, and I was given 13,000 for my 2006 2wd silverado.

slim-n-none, you still should be able to get them to lower there price. I was able to get my trade in price increased by haggling with them, told them i was really not intersted in buying and that i had plans which i did to test drive a 2013 5.0, and they asked me what it would take to not do that, and we agreed on my price. The sticker on my BRM was 40,200, with a sun roof.

MSRP for a 1SS/1LE is about 37.5K, that is what he is referring to.
