I can relate to these post as well..... Dang we must all be getting old, reminiscing about days of old. For me this will be my 3rd Camaro, the first being in 1968 then again 1970. In 1971 I started getting into Monte Carlos with my first one being a 1970, then 1972, 1977, 1998 .....

I really enjoyed your story! you tell it so well....with such enthusiasm(forest gump) but for real, your story really has me wanting my car that much more. I have been on this website for many months now and all I can say is that I cant wait to get behind the wheel of my camaro.

congrats, btw some people were reporting anywhere from 20 - 50 miles on their cars upon delivery which was related to the QC process, maybe there was a a bug that needed worked out in QC?

Hmm...interesting idea. Mine was built only 13 days ago so as far as I know there weren't any QC issues that hadn't already been solved by then. Maybe it was the MT issue. Did they ever say which VIN range had the problem with the broken trans?

Man, I can hardly wait until I am in your shoes!! My story goes like your first post, ordered and felt no big deal, I can wait. Now that my TPW is next week - I am going out of my freakin mind! This will be my 3rd Camaro (1981 and 1984) Wish I could sleep until it came!

I can't even afford one yet
But one day I will have one. When I first saw this beautiful car, I fell in love with it right away. It was the very first car that I have ever truly wanted. Before then, I always had not thought much about owning a sporty or powerful car.....but the 2010 camaro changed all that, haha. It's more than a car almost, because it's design is just pure amazingness. |

ANTSY doesn't explain what the average Camaro customer goes through waiting for their car. My Camaro had an ETA of Sunday 8/16 and as of AM today has still not arrived.
I have to keep remembering GM only accepted my order on 7//17 and it was built and on the train by 8/5. On 8/10 it was in N.J. and listed as in transit to CT by truck. Now 9 days later I'm still waiting for a call from my dealer. (I call them daily). 9 days to go 150 miles !. Each day since this car was shipped seems like a week. I'm sure I'm not alone. |

I've been saying the same thing about my 2LT, and so have my passengers! I keep my DIC on the digital speedometer 99% of the time now because without a big glowing number shining at me, I always end up about 15 over the speed limit.

Well I'm just thrilled with the car, it's such a gorgeous machine. People are shocked when they ask how much it costs and I tell them. It looks expensive and feels expensive. The color of the blue shifts depending on the angle of the light, and the color temperature of the light.
I was antsy to get it, but now that I have it, I'm antsy to drive it hehehe. My all-time favorite race car is the Porsche 917 like the one that won LeMans and Steve McQueen drove in the movie LeMans. I took it as a very good sign when my VIN was 31917. My car is a model year 2010; 40 years after Porsche's historic win at LeMans in 1970. A few quick pics: the first of course is the icon 917. Second is my car at the dealer how it looked when I picked it up (pics are with my iPhone so not the highest res). Third is after I washed, clay barred and detailed it. You can see the deep blue; this is a gorgeous color.
