Camaro Fest ZL-1 Auto X Video

Here are two video's each with a different view of the auto x course.I have to say the ZL1 is amazing, really enjoyed putting it through the paces.

Thanks to Pedder's for their hard work in the auto x, and to the guys from Torq (Eric and Paul) for all the upgrades.

nice videos. I need a gopro camera. How fast did you get it up to?

I watched the very beginning for about an hour today. That maroon Pedders car they took around was insane. The guy from gm got out and he looked like he was shaking.

I believe his name was Danny i saw several of his runs INSANE what a car.
Not quite sure about my speed was to busy looking at the cones. I will tell you i never was able to get out of second gear, my best time was 37.5. On Friday the clock only worked one out of three runs so maybe there was a slightly better time.

Danny Popp was driving the Lingenfelter car...

He is an 11 time national SCCA champion and Evolution Driving instructor.. and it shows. He was doing ride-alongs and "YELLING" at people (as he puts it.. actually he was giving advice). Do this.. Don't do that...

I have met Danny Popp on a few occasions. If you aspire to be an avid auto crosser, you need to talk to Danny. He will give you advice that is worth it's weight in GOLD!

We had a way to describe his driving style. It goes like this.

Danny's driving is comparable to driving in a video game.. and he is really MAD at it.
He can push a car to it's limits.. but never past the limit. He drives them all at 10/10ths.

Here is a picture of the Lingenfelter car. Danny Popp is on the right. Dan Howard ( me ) on the left.

Some people were hitting 90 - 100 MPH on the front straight..
80 MPH on the back straight.
