Free sunny evening without humidity? Paint those calipers!
I painted my calipers roughly a month ago while I was on leave and I have to say that is the cheapest, most fun mod I have done. If you have a decent hand and some attention to detail, they can really set the car off.
All I did was first, clean clean, clean them! I had just installed the rotors, and I have always reached in and cleaned the calipers while washing the car, so there was almost no dust to start with. I started out by scotch-brighting them thoroughly, then take an air hose/can of compressed air and blow away the dust that you have scuffed off. Then take some cleaner (I used "Awesome"...my old man lives by it and apparently it's only 1 dollar at the local dollar store!) Spray that bad boy down, wipe thoroughly and start taping. I taped everything off that wasn't the caliper. I used some engine enamel (good to 550 degrees) for the gloss black, then some clear coat engine enamel. Put 3-5 decent coats of your main color on the caliper, ensuring you let it dry enough in between coats. (I put a fan facing the caliper and blew the overspray underneath the car as well). Then once you are done w/ your color coat, spray 2-3 coats of clear over it. Make sure you don't put your decals straight onto the main color, as I have read it will "bleed" through when the caliper heats up. After you have your main color and your clear coats applied, put on your high-temp decals. I bought mine off of ebay for 6 bucks. Apply 2-3 more clear coats and waaaa-laaaa! Over all this project costed me 30 bucks and about 2 hours. And I was taking my time making sure everything went smooth. Like I said, this is by far the most fun, cheapest and best mod I have done (in my opinion) Here are some pictures of mine (the orange decal is significantly darker, the flash on my phone went off) Enjoy!!!!
