Talking SS vs LS/LT - The Infamous Front Fascia Debate

I was just thinking and I realized something...

Remember when the SS front fascia was revealed and everyone made such a big deal about it? I was among those who did not like it (though I was still just a lurker at the time). So much that I even thought about doing the "bumper swap" that someone mentioned, just because of how much I loved the original concept look.

But now, for some reason, my opinion has completely reversed. I absolutely love the SS front fascia! Lately every time I see pics of a V6, I think "man, this pic/color/car would look so much better as an SS..."

So... has this happened to anyone else? Or is it just me?

Nope, the V6 still looks better to me. However I am getting an SS and living with it..

i liked the ss front fascia since day one. the only thing i wish was the grill mesh was the same as the lower grill mesh with the multiple horizontal lines.

I've always liked the grill

I dig the heritage grill too, but I'm sticking with the stock one... looks good to me

I like the SS. I think I like the lower part of the V6 more, but I think its not quite aggressive enough for the SS. Needless to say, I think both are awesome!

When I first saw the SS front end I thought it was just ok. Now I love it and the V6 front looks too plain and not aggressive enough. I will still change the grill though.

Have always loved the SS facia. Wish the slot was functional though. You realize all the SS owners are going to get so sick of answering that question with ..."Uh...no it's not functional, just a plastic insert...yeah...I wish it was too....that would be so cool." That would certainly be one of the first questions I would have if I was checking it out for the first time. Oh well.

Yes, that's exactly what I think too. The lower part of the V6 one just looks too plain now... not sure how that happened, since I loved it before! But I agree, the SS looks more aggressive.

Well if anyone asks you if the "mail slot" is functional, just tell them no. Then when they ask why, you can proceed to explain how you tried sending a letter through it, but the person never got it. Then just recommend the post office instead.

Then, while they are you speed away and leave them in a cloud of smoke

Ha, wow... that was absurd. Sorry

I do like both the front ends, maybe the LT a little more. I think it was a mistake to not make the mail slot functional. Wouldn't it be easy to cut it out and make it functional though?

i never understood why people like the v6 fascia better...it looks like a ss fascia thats missing something...the ss fascia comes down lower to the floor and has that extra piece on the bottom and makes it look way more sporty/aggressive!

well not an extra piece but it looks like it kinda has a body kit...

They really aren't that much different. I think they should have made the look more distinct between the two models.
