replace shifter knob
Is it possible to replace the factory shift knob on a manual V6 to say a MOMO or Hurst knob, without putting in a whole new shifter or a short throw?

NoT easily. The factory knob is pressed on so the other knobs won't thread on. You may be able to find a cheap-o autozone one and make it work.
