My first home is the woods, second home is in my camaro, third home is the gym, and fourth is my actual home . So I understand exactly where you are coming from.

That's great. I would think it would come with a sharpened spine period. Maithili how long that thing is. My 375 adamas in my OP came with a sharpened spine. I wouldn't want to know what the nasty serrations would do to anything.. But that's why I keep it with me like you do yours.

Oh I don't have any. I am a broker in the diamond/jewelry/gift world. I have a friend that sells to me for cost + 20%.

Spyderco endura(if all you want to carry a knife for is to cut things and not self defense don't even remotely hesitate buy this knife)
Spyderco tenacious
SOG flashback
Kershaw lineup of knives.
SOG zoom is just amazing
And the trusty ol' sog trident is going great after 4 years of absolute hell.
I've looked into the Trident and flashback. For some reason I buy knives for aesthetic reasons too
The Spyderco's have a weird look to me.
I actually may consider the Kershaw Shallot posted above too

I have a 25 year old Ka-Bar of my fathers that I came across recently - I want to have it cleaned up - sharpened and maybe even engraved to put in a display case for him.

Does anyone have a contact that would useful in helping with something like this?

You might make sure it's not collectible before you have it engraved.

Jewelry shop would be a good source for an engraver... build a display box yourself, I'm sure he would appreciate that.

Good call - I'll see what the local jewelers can do. It's not a collectible it's a standard issue USMC Ka-bar. More of a personal piece than a valuable piece.

Damn boy. I've wanted a delta forever, but it's hard to justify with all of these insanely great knives at lower price points. But that's a sexy knife!
