She said if my car had been shipped she would be able to see the details about it. She again said " it hasn't been shipped." I asked her when my car might be shipped/get out of QC and she said there was no estimate as to how long it would be there.

Fast forward to today.
At approximately 12:00 today, I got an email from my dealer stating they had just received my invoice and my car would be delivered on Monday, May 18th, and that my car shipped out on May 7th.

So I called GM customer service to see what's going on and they told me the department that they needed to speak with to confirm my order isn't available on weekends.

So I don't know what to think. I'm afraid to get excited about possibly getting my car, just to be let down again when I find out its still in QC.
We know that when a car is invoiced it shows up a few days later.

If this is true, you can't believe anything GM customer service tell you on the phone.
As mentioned, they told me yesterday that my car definately hadn't shipped and was in QC.

If this is going to take 3 months, they should use this time to get ABL fully-functional like they showed it would be when we preordered.

i agree with a previous post. if you are in QC for longer than 3 weeks, GM should ship you a new car and re-stock the ones in QC after they clear, whenever that may be. my vin is 8771 and i went to QC on 5/12 as far as i know.

I will wait all year for #1312, I feel attached to it although I've never seen it. Happy about it - Hell NO! I'm fortunate to have a few nice cars to drive in the meanwhile, but it still SUCKS. Then there are all the ones that this will be a primary car, weekend car, or whatever. Just seems that 25 to 40,000 apiece would give GM some incentive to get these to us. There's enough laid off UAW workers that would love to go back to work to fix them. Come on GM, three more months - Why?

Just can't let it go can you? To tell you the truth, I'd think less of you if you did, Stout. And really, that's a great idea, and it'd be a nice benny to come out of waiting so long. Just don't hold your breath.

The more I read on this forum the more confused I get....I LOVE this place, but I almost wish I was one of the regular people who just walked in and ordered a car, and never knew all this info was out there

I keep seeing all these 8k+ VINs going out....and the rest of us under that number not having a clue!

I received my VIN on 5/1 and there is no invoice to this date, 5/16! And then I wonder if it's real b/c I have an X after the W in my VIN and I haven't seen any other VINs like that....I wonder if it's a real car.

THEN, we call the DBC and last week they said the car was at 3400 (when the dealer gave me the WorkBench that said I was at 3800 w/ the VIN), then we call this week and the DBC says it's at 3800! SO. Who really knows at this point???????????????????????

Wow, Angela, that really sucks. Is the W in your VIN the 8th character? If so, it stands for the LS3 engine. Then the nineth character, the X, is a check digit which I have no idea what it should be, but mine is a zero(0). Usually any check digit is either a one or zero.

I said it before....

It's a conspiracy. AREA 51 cars don't exist. AREA 51 doesn't exist. GM is just doing market research to see how long they can string customers along before they: (1) cancel their orders, (2) go insane, (3) buy a Mustang (that might actually be covered under no. 2), or (4) figure out it's a conspiracy.

Plus...they can say they are increasing production. Make 250 cars a day and say you made another 100 that go to "QC." Now your up to 350 a day.

Actually, I'm just kidding. At least I hope I am.
