I signed up about 3 months ago. Been with State Farm for 30 years... But might be time to change.

State Farm isn't the only Insurance Company out here......I have been with them for 16 years...I might change too.

Just added my car to my insurance (USAA). Was going to be $44 per month for the SS. Put my VIN in and it went to $50 per month for the SS\RS Camaro. Beginning to rethink USAA.

while i agree that if you have a great record of driving, filing claims, and multiple policies your rates should stay the same or fluctuate at a minimal rate, there are many variables that contribute to what everyone pays... i am in no way and insurance fanboi, but because i deal with insurance on a daily basis (filing claims) i can tell you that State Farm is much better insurance company to do work for than USAA, Progressive, USAgencies, Geico, etc... i personally have an automotive and residential policy with State Farm and my rates have remained the same in almost 5 years with the exception of a $10,000 claim after Gustav...

An earthquake in Asia or a hurricane in the Pacific will somehow cause your car insurance rates to go up. They always have an excuse.

yeh, as the first post stated, since they are still taking statistical data for this car, the rates were low at first, but now that more are getting into accidents and stolen/damaged/whatnot, they have a better picture of what the rates are. I mean my camaro was quoted under a Ford Fusion!

I guess I won't complain about paying $291.60 for 6 months with Farmers! I do have the multi-car discount as well as having my homeowners with them. I should also say I am 50 years old and have a pretty good credit rating (not that I understand what that has to do with my ability to drive safely!).

$6 more per month? I haven't hit that magic 25 number yet, so mine is at $150 a month for my 2LT/RS...

Wow I'm paying $968 for six months. I'm only 18 though.
