Just Noticed Something Odd
I feel quite non-observant that I haven't noticed this before but, take a close look at your rear window defogger grid sometime. Below is a rough sketch of what mine (and I assume all) looks like. Notice the odd pattern and breaks in the imbedded heating wires.
Does anyone happen to know the reason for this irregular pattern? Just curious as it makes no sense to me.

Two sets of wires ... One set is the Radio antenna.

Oh man... here I was thinking the shark fin was the antenna but I guess that's just for satellite (XM-Sirius/OnStar). Thanks.
Still seems odd though that the pattern isn't symmetrical. Oh well.

I can't explain it myself completely, but the rear window grid is doing two jobs: one is your electric window defogger and the other is the radio antenna. Other antennas on the car are the satellite radio (shark fin) and your one for GPS (can someone tell me where and what does this one looks like?)

I think thats why some people have the issue with certain tints and turning on rear defogger and radio am fm recption gets worse when its on

Is there a way to run am/fm through the shark fin? Or would that interfere with Sirius/XM? I always thought the two were one in the same.

Speaking of odd, I was looking out the windshield at the passenger wiper, and it appears to me that there is some sort of angular "loop" that sort of sticks up that is not the same on the driver side windshield wiper. Is it like that on everyone else's? And what's the reason for that?

In the convertibles the radio antenna is in the spoiler.
