1200 HP, is that possible??

On the front page they were showing Nicky Chicago TT Camaro boasting 1200 hp. Is that possible??? Can the stock internals handle that or was that theoretical? I imagine that the car would at least have to be running 20 psi. I know my Supra engine can handle that but the LS3???

My 07 Z06 was pushing about 1300hp last year, but I was using an Iron Block LSX Engine. It's entirely possible he did it with an LS3, but would obviously need extensive bottom end work to handle the boost.

Do you have a link to this car?

qft ...was going to say the same thing

and again why? Why would you want to spin the tires everytime you drive all the time. Why not buy a dragster or a space shuttle with the amount of money you will spend

I'm a bit of a wrench head. I just got my hands on a 95 Supra TT, which is capable of quite a bit of power...Then the Camaro finally comes out, and damn. Now I find my self in the dilema of weather or not to switch. The Supra is attractive due to the potential for HP (I was shooting for around 600). Now if the Camaro makes it's self available to that type of HP it adds one more thing to my will I or wont I list.

Man I am a Toyota fan myself but a 95 Supra is not a Camaro.

Just not even close. There is a lot more to a car than raw power.

Umm vash, i owned a toyota supra for 3 years (1993 TT) and not to be mean, but what are you talking about?

Supras are much more than just raw power. They having breaking, turning, and everything needed for a sports car. You cannot diss a car like that if you dont even own one. The Supra is one car that will be timeless and always worth alot. Most supras out there will beat 99% of these camaros right now in every category.

But i love my camaro!

1200 hp is definitely NOT a stock longblock LS engine. It will need forged pistons, rods, and maybe even a forged crank. Then you figure head studs, better head gaskets, aftermarket cylinder head castings, etc...

In other words, not cheap. Possible? Hell yes. LS series engines have pushed 2,000 hp before with the right set of turbos and built engine.
