P2099 Fault Code

Hey guys,

I received a fault code P2099 (Powertrain Post Catalyst Fuel Trim System Too Rich bank2) on my OBDII. I had this fault a few months back and cleared it and everything was good for a while. About a week ago it came back (along with the check engine light). The check engine light will be on sometimes and other times it will be off (without me clearing the fault). Any advice or help would be much appreciated.

Umm, how about a bad sensor?

Any idea which sensor to purchase? I see upstream/downstream and left/right/center.

May not be a bad sensor after all.

P2099 Post catalyst fuel system trim high limit bank 2

Post cat is the sensor after the cat.

Check this thread out.

Could also be a bad cat. If you were tuned, those codes would/should be turned off. Something is causing your system to run too rich, possible the cat is not doing its job, or a faulty sensor.
