I have a palm pre. It is a great phone, but if I was buying a new one today, I would look at other options. The only problem is that there is no voice dial function. So it syncs with the Camaro just fine and any incoming calls on the phone come in on the head unit and can be answered with the steering wheel button. But, for outgoing calls you must initiate the call from the phone, and then it will come up on the car speakers automatically. It is a minor inconvenience, but there are probably other phones that work better.

The Droid does not allow Bluetooth voice dialing either which is freekin retarded. Motorola even acknowledges this on their website and says basically its a feature they are reviewing but have chosen not to support.

I programmed a few numbers that I call very often into my car, then the rest I just have to dial from the handset, annoying.

My phone supports voice dialing (windows mobile) but I never use it in the car. Why? Because you have to carry on a conversation with the car just to convince it to let you talk to your phone to voice dial. It's quicker just to dial from the handset. Not the fault of the phone, it's just how GM implemented it.

Yes my old Motorla Q worked like that, it may be quicker to dial from the handset, but the point is to not take your eyes off the road, like having to flip through your contact list.

The sequence was "bluetooth" then "voice" then it would access the phones voice commands and you could call.

I have the palm pre, and you can set up onstar to voice dial through the phone. You do not have to physcially touch the phone to make outgoing calls. Also, once you do this, when you have incomming calls from the phone it says... "you have an incomming call from... (name here)" its pretty cool.

Yeah but you have to program every number you use into it again. Whats nice about bluetooth voice dialing is it uses voice recognition built into your phone contacts list so you don't have to program any number, it will automatically work.
