What the hell are you talking about? I don't care if anyone agrees with me or not and I never said I did. In fact, if you'd actually read, I keep saying everyone is entitled their own opinions and I can respect that. That dude is a kid that is bored and stirring the pot and it's painfully obvious. I also don't understand how you and a few others think I am not calm. I am not yelling, screaming, throwing shit, talking shit or being completely out of touch with reality. I've been calm. The dealer is responsible for returning the car in the same condition as it was brought in PLUS the warranty issue resolved. It's pretty basic, even for the unintelligent folks out there. I feel like I am owed at least 8 new pistons, the labor and associated hardware to install them. That is where we differ. And again, I can respect your opinion but I see it differently. Will I get that? I have no idea. That's why I am waiting to talk to the higher up at GM on Monday.

GM is responsible in my view. The dealers are licensed/franchised by GM and only exist by virtue of GM. These dealers are required to train and certify their technicians. If that is not happening with every single tech, which it isn't, then some guilt falls to GM IMO for not policing their Dealer network. I do agree that cool head prevail, but standing for what is right shouldn't be in debate.
My friend watched a repair on his Camaro be completed improperly. When they damaged the tint on his window, they refused to pay and denied guilt. He cussed and so on and was basically shown the door. After cooling off a bit, he was talking to an independent shop and they showed him how the repair was supposed to be done. My friend went back, apologized for cussing, then asked to see the repair process for his car for that job and evidence if that technician had been certified by GM to do that repair. Guess what...the dealer immediately paid for the damages and issued their own apology. Almost every single repair job on these cars has a how to process the tech should follow....clearly it was not with Nutro's repair. If Nash Chevy is using unqualified techs to do repairs and work on customers cars, GM needs to step up to the plate. |

The dealership is OBLIGATED to return the car in the same state as it was turned in. The engine is no different than any other part of the car. You turn it in with no dents and it gets returned with dents its still in working order so that's fine? WRONG they are required to return it to you like it was turned in. Your also very wrong about not having any leverage in court those pictures alone are enough to prove responsibility for the damage and required repair. I don't know about you but I seriously doubt GM is putting dented pistons in their cars from the factory!! Again your wrong about the Mod overstepping his authority in deleting post that serve no purpose other than to berate the OP. Everyone is entitled to their opinions but again if its nothing but to berate the OP it serves no purpose and should be deleted. Again bro sorry your having to deal with all this crap. I can only hope the dealership pulls it's head out of it's you know what and replaces the engine. They did the damage they need to fix it and after letting that coolant sit in that block like that its going to require a new engine to be back to original condition. Good luck man!! |

Nothing immature about protesting a dealership when you don't agree with what they have done. The facebook thing well its not something I would personally do but to base everything about him off one page of a novel thats pretty short sighted IMO. Well if someone is deliberately lying to your face they deserve to be called out for it. They can get butt hurt all they want they shouldn't be lying in the first place. I'm not saying anything bad about the way you see it I just wanted to see why you thought that way. Its your opinion and your certainly entitled to it we just see it a little different I guess. |

But... Stirring the pot with condescending posts and being two faced is trolling pure and simple... Note, I didn't randomly delete this post as it has something of value to it.... Believe me, if I was abusing my abilities, there would be a lot of other posts gone... I'm simply removing the posts that were intended to get a reaction.... I could do the same with this one... Note the rules of the forum.... Debate without arguing... no thread crapping, etc... They are listed above if you care to refresh your memory... You did click on the little box when you signed up that you read and agreed with them...

I just got rid of some of the idiotic ones that were extremely condescending and totally un-necessary... You have never met Nutro yet you assume that he is too immature to handle this on his own, and I beg to differ... If it was my car, I would be pissed... Dealers can be condescending as well.... and for a dealer to try to pull a fast one as this one appears to have... well... I also don't feel like the unsolicited life lessons are necessary from keyboard commandos... As before, I do know Nutro, and feel very confident that he is plenty mature enough to handle the situation. Are there some emotional posts, sure, if it was my car there would be as well.... and I certainly don't need your life lessons...

"Jimmy, this is Daniel. My wife and I are on our way to get a rental. Do you have anything other than a truck? I wanted something better on gas as I have 2 Silverados at my disposal. Hey, you guys have an '07 C6 Vette on your lot, that would be a sweet loaner haha. Anyway, we'll be there in 10 minutes." *****NOW, keep in mind that at this point, I was happy to have a rental and the word of Jimmy that they were trying to get GM to get me a motor. Yes, I was a bit relieved and cracked a "Joke" about a vette loaner.***** Here is EXACTLY how that went when I went inside the dealership and into Jimmy's office (There are not 3 sides to it): Me: Hi Jimmy, did you get my message? Jimmy: Yes I did but I was busy. They won't let me touch that vette as a loaner. Me: Oh it's okay, I was just messing with you, I wouldn't expect as a loaner car. Jimmy: So, we'll put you in the loaner until Monday and you can pick the car up then. I just want you here when we start the car Monday so you can hear it and assure you there are no noises. I'll do a compression test this weekend and make sure everything is good to go. Me: Oh, I thought we were waiting for GM to figure out what the wanted to do? Jimmy: They told me to fix it, so I did. Me: With the damaged pistons? Jimmy: I looked at them and I did not see any marks on them (Meanwhile he tries to cover up the printed pics from this thread showing the damaged pistons. Me: Uhh they are damaged and now you're saying I'm a liar. BLAH BLAH it escalated a little and we left (the rest was already posted) SO, that was the "Vette joke" that CoolstoryBro is upset about. The facebook page was created because this is the age of the internet. Whether you guys like it or not, social media works to get the word out about a shady dealer that is obviously crooked. Was it a great idea? Depends on who you ask I guess. Will I delete it once everything is settled? Of course I will. I didn't stand outside and protest the dealer. It's way too hot out for that shit.

99% of posts on this, or any other forum for that matter, are intended to get a reaction. this thread was left open to get peoples reactions. As an adult one has to assume they won't all agree. you'll notice my low post count, I rarely post just for shits and giggles and don't get sucked into many internet arguments as a "keyboard commando". I don't know you, the OP or the dude who's post you deleted. But just reading from this thread my 2 cents are that telling the guy he's "full of shit" before he pulled the rental keys away and the whole standing with a sign and whatnot are not actions of a mature person trying to help himself out. He deserves to get his car returned in perfect condition. As a car owner myself I believe that. But he needs to understand that the dealership is only obligated to return it in acceptale running condition as proving in a civil court how a car taken for mechanical work was delivered is a difficult task. He's going to have to meet the dealer half way to get anything more than an "its running , heres your keys" and to get that he's going to have to start throwing sugar at them. Plain and simple. Demanding more than is owed instead of asking for it as a sign of good faith usually gets one nowhere. Again my 2 cents. I was under the impression when I signed up to join this forum that I was allowed that much.

you said that already, and i dont think its acceptable running condition if there is internal damage.

We all deal with stress in different ways... I Know this from my previous career... I'm not going to sit here and listen to statements about court actions and this law and that... unless you wish to throw out your Bar number and prove that you practice in Texas... Then there's the relevance of it... I'm also not going to allow comments that include name calling or outright rude comments... Now, lets keep the thread on topic... Again, Your opinion is yours, and thats fine, but think about the delivery...
