Reviews/advice on the Procharger F1-R.
I'm looking into buying a F1-R with a cog drive. I was trying to see if anyone has ran this blower. It will never see the drag strip, but I do want to start doing more road courses this year. It is not a daily driver and only driven a couple of times a month. Would this setup be a horrible choice for my car? Any info would be great, thanks guys.

For a road course, yes IMO. That is a blower for making 800-950rwhp. If you are planning on a motor and everything else to go with it, it is a great blower. If you want to slap one on a stock ls3, I would say no. You are better off with a D1 or Novi 1500.

How would a cog drive work out on a road course? I'm assuming M6.

It's not strictly a road coarse car, it's 90 percent street driven and 10 track.

If that's the case the F1R is a great blower.

I would stay away from the F1R as heat is a big issue. I had one on my car so I am telling you my experience. If you are going to drive this on the street it will get really hot. I have the F2 now and it runs 60 degrees cooler than the R. Depending on what hp level you are wanting I wold look at a different model.

Do you think it will be a big issue with heat? I have a Maggie on my car now and I know it has heat soak as well, I'm looking to run in the 700-800 range. |

700-800...why not a D1sc?...or what about better cooling mods for the blower you have and get a port matched lower for it and pulley down. With a cam that range is attainable.
What I am getting at is to ask yourself if you are sure you want to change blowers and spend/lose a chunk of cash.

To put things in perspective, the F1R blower is capable of running mid 8's in a lighter car.
