Rainer, CONGRATS on your ride and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, dad's, wive's, husband's, girlfriend's and boyfriend's here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!!

Welcome Genesis,

We are very happy to have you. Very cool to be able to really let that V8 go whenever you like and put it to the test there in Germany! Enjoy!

Hello dear Camaro Fans, thanx for being here ;-)
I have designed and engineered a fantastic TripleGaugeHood for all 5th gen Camaro. This hood fits on the dashboard - instead of the center speaker.
Unfortunately, I am not able to open a thread for this - I don`t know how to do ;-(

Could sombody please help me to communicate this new and fantsatic gaugehood? with pcitures etc.?

I am looking forward hearing from you
best
Rainer

Rainer, you would open or start a new thread just like you did this one.....HOWEVER, if you are going to be advertising products, you need to look into being a contributing sponsor, as the forum rules state.

Dear Camaro friends,

I am not a dealer, but a professional automotive designer and owner of Genesis-design (www.genesis-design.de)
I built up myself a gauge hodd, which is placed instead of the center speaker.

I will post here some picture just to get feedbacks, if this is interesting for you.

Thank you for your feedback

Hi Ranier, Welcome to Camaro5. I would be interested in one of those gauge hoods, but I would like to modify it a bit taller to accommodate an 8" TFT panel.

I have the 2013 Mylink Navigation, which really sucks and has lousy audio, so I am building my own navigation unit, (actualy it's my second home built navigation car PC) and want to put my gauge screens on it where the center speaker was:

My NAV intertainment carpc supports 2 screens, so I am replacing the stock screen:

With this mount modified for an 8" screen. This is the old 7" screen from my first version:

Here are some screens showing other features of the project:

I have Phone, HD Radio, Navigation, Fuel Price updates, All forms of Media w/internet database, Any size of storage, OBDII, TPMS, GPS, WIFI, BT, 4G, Digital I/O through Phidgets, Steering Wheel interface, Voice Control, High Quality USB DAC for superior audio, Front and rear cameras, Front and rear object avoidance, and lots more already built in.

I have been searching for ideas to add a second screen, and your TGH project looks like the best solution yet. I was going to hack in a popup screen where the center speaker was, but yours is more elegant.
