3D fender vent install question

Tomorrow I will be installing the fender vents and it looks like I have to debadge the camaro script. The vent covers the same area as the letters. Should I move the letters up above the crease line and vent or just leave them off entirely. What do you guys think? My letters are already painted black.

Personally I would leave them off entirely. It will look much cleaner

I went through this when I did mine & I opted to leave them off... haven't regretted it yet.

Post pictures when you finish the install! I would leave them off, with the vents, it would just look too crowded. Unless you where to put them on the cowl or something

I'm installing mine this weekend and I didn't have any plans on using the side emblems.

I left the CAMARO letter off but I had a couple of people say "nice Mustang" which I didn't like at all. I had a CAMARO SS windshield decal made along w/ Camaro decals on the side of the body kit. No one has called my car a Mustang since.

I definitely will...Along with the vents I just got my splitter, side skirts and bumper back from Gary at Gary's Customs. My Zl1 replica wheels should be here by Wednesday so after I get done with the body work today I will be painting my calipers Yellow with the G2 kit and putting the new decals on after it dries a few days.

On the install of the fender vents it says to measure 12" from the corner of the fender to the body line. I have no idea what this measurement does. It looks like all you have to do is line up the template with the back side of the fender and crease line. Any advice before I start cutting?

Take a deep breath & dive in. The template I had lined up with the horizontal body line & back of the fender. Just make sure to treat all of bare spots really good so you dont have problems later.

I will have to admit that looks really good, looks like the factory
did it that way.

Install is done...now prepping for the splitter, skirts and bumper. Should be done today I hope. Then painting calipers with g2 before my wheels get here in a few days.

I got my ass kicked by a pray mantis literally during the install. He was on my mirror and I asked him if he wanted a piece of me. He stood up and started boxing the air. So I got in his face and he attacked. I started screaming like a little girl. He went straight for my face. Ididn't know they could jump like that.

GREAT JOB mat300z !

Those side vents look VERY NICE !

I have some dual-vented fenders coming that I bought from Gary's Customs, I think he does awesome work.
