trying to do this now. We got as far as getting the 2010 dash out, but the center duct does not fit on the 2012 dash. I was told "direct replacement" I don't think so.
Also how do you get the passenger airbag out to go to the other dash?

I just finished mine and it all fit. Oh, I just reread that. The 2010 center vent will not work it needs the 2012 vent. Also, getting the airbag out was a pain. I basically pried out 1 side and it fell out. The connector is a royal pain also. The clip that holds the connector to the dash appears to be a 1 time use becasue it has 2 tabs that spread out when it is inserted. Maybe 2 small screwdrivers pushing on both sides you could pry it out.

So I did this mod today and I will say I am very happy with the results! I also did the 2012 dash upgrade since I was pulling it out anyways. A few things I notcied along that way that may help others.
-The top center bolt under the defrost grill is a PAIN in the A**! Getting out was pretty easy, putting it back was hard. I finally used the right combo of wobble extensions and duct tape on the bolt head to work it in. Also, DON'T FORGET to tie a string on the light sensor plug and pull it through wihile putting the dash in. -I didn't see it in the guide but don't forget to pull the headlamp switch out before pulling the dash out. -The battery bolts at least on my car were 10mm. -The clock spring was my biggest worry. The guid doesn't say to remove it but the picture shows it gone. I tried to remove it but the bottom plug wasn't coming off so I left it on place and tapped it so it couldn't rotate. Also, I watcehd a youtube video on resetting it and checked mine before I mountedthe wheel. -The guide has you leave a black plastic piece of the dash under the steering wheel installed also this is what the fuse box mounts to. The new dash had this already so I removed mine with the dash so you have to removed the hood latch and OBDII connector first. -I took the time when reinstalling to polish the gauge cluster screen and radio screen while they were out which made it very easy. -According to the Alldatadiy guide the passenger airbag is not supposed to be removed from the dash. I did it anyway. I used a screwdriver and gently pried the plastic away from the tabs holding it in on 1 side. Once they were all off it came right out. The connector sucks, just take your time on it. I think that covers it. Also, for most of the screws/bolts I just screwed them back in where I took them out from. For the ones that I couldn't do that with I wrote on an index card what they were for and out them on top in order of how they came out. Really, it isn't that hard. The result it very good. The larger MPH font looks very good, the smaller fonts have a slight ghost but not bad at all. Also depends on how you sit I notcied. Also, not sure if in the factory HUD cars this happens but when sun shines directly on the dash the HUD reflects on the window and makes it alittle harder to read but otherwise daylight reading is fine. Brian

I found at least 5 screws in the guide and PPT that were not documented and removed. The fusebox wasn't that bad to remove you have to release the clips from behind.
Before putting the dash back in if you want to use the GM lamps for ambient lighting in the footwell use that then. Be careful when putting the dash back on, lock the steering wheel so you can get that over. Also make sure you cover the frame with the glove box, that was another spot we had a problem. I also couldn't get my shift knob off, but we could work it around. To get the airbag out, we pryed the plastic one tooth at a time, then rocked it out. It simply pushed right into place on the new dash. I never did get the bolt on the front of the dash in all the way, but I did put some electrical tape behind the hole to hold it in place. The center speaker is a pain to get out we found just pull it up and out when the dash is halfway in to plug it back in. Someone give me a part number for the center duct. It appears that I just pull the leather trim to mount it to there.. I think I might be able to use the old one looking like crap for a little while though.

Also, the center vent actually attaches to the leather trim piece. I used the screws from the old center vent plus it need 1 more that I had extra from the old dash.

Man, that colored HUD looks super cool. If Ofer can make that happen and it looks close to that with a non-HUD windshield I may just have to break down and go through the tedious hours of doing the install.

I'm not sure if I'd go through the effort to put in the color HUD or not. But the Color DIC looks so much better than the monochrome one. I've always disliked the monochrome displays on both the radio and DIC - they look like LCD technology from the 80's.
